Hold your horses

Not much to report since I've been in Puerto Viejo.  Still getting used to the heat, also had one day where it started raining late at night, and continued through the next evening.  Though if it wasn't for all that rain...

Daily trips to the Caribbean Sea (3 minute walk) are needed to cool off.  The beach there is Playa Negra (black sand).  The sand is mostly a golden brown, but fairly dark higher up on the beach.  The surfing season here is November - late March/early April, but the big waves haven't started to roll in just yet.  For now, it's fantastic for swimming.
