A 4.5 to 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck in the night at about 12:55am. At first I thought someone had banged into the wall next to my room. When I fully awoke, I realized this was completely idiotic, and immediately recognized what it really was. It lasted about 3-5 seconds.
At around 20km away, without a doubt the closest I've ever been, and likely ever will be, to the epicenter of an earthquake in progress.
