And a baby sloth on the bike ride. This little guy was just over a 12" from head to bottom. Being on the ground is a dangerous position for sloths (easy snack for predators). Hope he survives.
Two-toed or three-toed?
Did you guess right?
Onto the snorkeling.
Camo fish
Could be my favourite
Not a great picture, but I loved the colour of this fish
Flora
Had lunch at Pita Bonita on the way back. They have a decent sized sign out front, but for some reason I kept missing it on the way back from Punta Uva. Found it today :) Not cheap, but outstanding food. The beer was pretty good too.
I had the falafel pita (falafel, onions, tomatoes, tahini) and a side of tabbouleh. For some reason they use sauerkraut, but I swapped that for hummus. Yes it is HUGE. You can just see the edge of my pint glass peeking from behind.
Mt. Pita
I'm a big eater, but I could barely finish this. Could be the best I've ever had (yes Matt, better than Abdul's). Zero spiciness, all flavour. As good as the filling was, the pita bread itself held it's own. Definitely THE best pita bread I've ever had. Think & hearty as a pint of Guinness - and likely half of the reason it was so filling.
Too pricey to eat there every day ($20 incl 2 beers), but good value based on high quantity and quality. I'll be back at least once before this trip is over.
